For many (particularly those driving from the Southeast), this year’s Hot Rod Power Tour is going to be a looong one. In order to be on-time for Monday’s registration and first day at the Route 66 Raceway in Joliet, Illinois, many will need to get an early jump on their traveling.

Mopar Connection Magazine is one of those and is looking to welcome any and all Power Tour attendees who’d like to caravan up together on Sunday morning, June 7th. No, you don’t need to be piloting a Dodge, Plymouth or Chrysler to join, we’re just happy to have you along for the ride.

We plan on meeting in the parking lot of Cracker Barrel in Franklin, Kentucky at 8/8:30am CST (155 Steele Rd, Franklin, KY 42134; exit Hwy 31). We won’t dally long before leaving at 9am CST for the long haul up to Joliet. We know many won’t be able to exceed speeds of 70mph, so we’re planning on a leisurely cruise with fuel stops every 100-plus miles.

This is an unofficial gathering, so there’s no liability, insurance or sign-in needed. Just a loosey-goosey gathering of Power Tour attendees looking to join fellow cruisers.
